Sprint Now Charging $4.99 If You Have Spending Limit

sprintA few days ago I was sent an email from Sprint saying that they would now be charging $4.99 a month for anybody who has a spending limit on their plan.  No matter how big or small of a limit you have and no matter if you have ever gone over your limit you will still be charged.  This is very frustrating but there is one way to get around it.

To not be charged to $4.99 you must sign up for automated credit card billing for your account.  I am guessing they want to insure that bills get paid and try to cut down on delinquent accounts.  For somebody like me that has never gone over their limit this is unfair in my eyes.  Granted times are hard and they want to collect their money.  But not everybody can set up automatic payments because they may not always have the money in the account at the day of payment.

So they decide to stick to the customer in their time of need.  Good job Sprint.  Great way to help improve your already terrible customer service and keep the people paying YOUR bills happy.  Dan Hess sure is smiling now.
