HTC Releases Official Fix for “2016″ txt Glitch

y2k1Here is an update on the “2016 txt” glitch. The post I made previously about this issue had a fix in it to download. The “Ziggy” cab fix was not the official one from HTC. Technically it is not a fix, just a work around. But now the official fix from HTC has been release and is included below.

Y2K Has Struck! About 10 Years Late

***UPDATE***

An OFFICIAL fix from HTC  has just been released. Click Here for download.

An interesting glitch has occurred with the launch of 2010. Apparantly there is a Y2K type glitch on TP2’s (and a few other devices) which is displaying the date as 1/1/16. At first I thought this was an isolated issue, but more and more people are reporting the same thing. At this moment nobody is quite sure what is going on but there are a few theories floating around.
